Beginner's Guide: 5 Things Every Player Should Know Before Starting Realm of Okonil

Starting Realm of Okonil: Gems Magic for the first time is exciting. Matching gems and fighting monsters may seem simple at first, but as players move through the realm, the battles become more challenging and strategy becomes more important.

Here are five things every new player should know

Whether a player is starting with Yolvex, Thornspire, and Nydrath or trying to get past a difficult level, knowing how the game works can make a big difference.

Here are five things every new player should know.

1. Gem Colors Matter

When choosing a team, it can be tempting to simply choose the three heroes with the highest stats.

But gem colors are just as important.

When players match a gem that matches the color of a living hero on their team, that hero adds their Attack to the power of the match.

For example, if a player matches Red Gems and has a living Red hero on the team, that hero contributes their Attack to the match.

If two heroes on the team share the same color, both heroes can contribute their Attack when that color is matched.

If a matched gem color does not belong to any living hero on the team, the team still deals damage, but the bonus is much smaller.

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy Tip

New players should pay attention to the colors of their heroes when building a team.

Using different colors gives players more opportunities to make powerful matches. In some battles, having two heroes of the same color can also be useful when players want to take advantage of a specific gem color.

2. Battle Potions Work Automatically

New players may wonder where the potion button is during a battle.

In Realm of Okonil: Gems Magic, certain battle potions activate automatically when their conditions are met.

Here is what players should know:

๐Ÿ›ก️ Shield Potion

Having at least 1 Shield Potion in the inventory automatically activates it at the start of the battle. It protects the team from the first 3 enemy hits.

⚔️ Auto Defeat Potion

Having 1 Auto Defeat Potion automatically defeats one enemy monster when the battle begins. This can give the team an early advantage.

❤️ Revive Potion

The Revive Potion works differently. Players need at least 3 Revive Potions in their inventory for it to activate.

When a hero falls during battle, having 3 or more Revive Potions allows the game to automatically use them to bring the strongest fallen hero back into the fight.

Knowing how these potions work can help players prepare before entering difficult stages.

3. Do Not Miss the Free Summons

Players do not have to spend a lot of money to build a stronger hero collection.

The Summon screen gives players opportunities to get new heroes every day.

๐ŸŽ Daily Free Summon

Players receive 1 free hero summon each day.

๐Ÿ“บ Bonus Ad Summons

Players can also claim up to 2 additional summons per day by watching ads.

๐Ÿงช Summon Potions

Players can collect Summon Potions while playing the game.

Saving 10 Summon Potions unlocks a special summon that can give players a 1 Star to 4 Star hero.

⭐ Duplicate Heroes

Getting a duplicate hero is not a waste.

Duplicate heroes are converted into Hero Shards, which can be used later to help increase a hero's Star level.

So players should keep collecting heroes and shards as they progress.

4. Watch Out for Enemy Healers and Charging Monsters

Not every enemy should be treated the same way.

Some enemies can make battles much harder if they are left alone for too long.

๐ŸŽฏ Watch the Weakest Hero

Enemies have a high chance of attacking the weakest or most injured hero on the team.

Players should keep an eye on their heroes' health, especially when using a Healer or Paladin.

❤️ Take Out Enemy Healers

Enemy Healers can keep their team alive and make a difficult battle last much longer.

When an enemy drops below 60 percent HP, a Healer may focus on healing that enemy instead of attacking.

If possible, players should try to take out enemy Healers early.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Watch for Charging Enemies

Some enemies will charge up before making a powerful attack.

When an enemy starts charging, players should be ready.

A normal charging monster can unleash a powerful attack on the weakest hero on its next turn.

Dragon Lord bosses can be even more dangerous because their charged attack can hit the entire team.

5. Use Craft Potions Wisely

As players progress through the game, they will collect Craft Potions.

These can be used to make heroes stronger.

There are two main ways to use them.

⭐ Stat Upgrades

5 Craft Potions can permanently increase a hero's HP or ATK.

๐ŸŒŸ Star Ascension

10 Craft Potions and the required Hero Shards can be used to increase a hero's Star level.

Star Ascension gives the hero a major increase to their HP, ATK, Mana capacity, and overall power.

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy Tip

Early in the game, players can use 5 Craft Potions to strengthen an important damage dealer or increase the HP of a frontline hero.

Once enough Hero Shards have been collected, saving 10 Craft Potions for Star Ascension can provide a much bigger boost.

Boss Survival Guide: Beat Healers, Vampires & Dragon Lords

Deeper in Realm of Okonil: Gems Magic , the monsters get tougher. Players start meeting special enemies and big 5 Star bosses like the Obsidian Wyrmlord and the Infernal Crownlord . Every 10 levels, players reach a new World, and the monsters get stronger. Just matching the first gems you see will not always work. Bosses can lock up the board and charge big attacks. Here is how these enemies work and what players can do about them. 1. Charged Attacks and Hellfire Breath Sometimes an enemy skips its normal attack and charges up . This is one of the most dangerous moments in a fight. An enemy can start charging when it has more than 70% HP and at least two of your heroes are still standing. It has a 30% chance to do it. When it glows, get ready. ⚡ Charged Strike (2.5x Damage) Normal and elite monsters hit your weakest hero for 250% damage . ๐Ÿ”ฅ Hellfire Breath (1.5x Damage) Dragon Lord bosses, like the Infernal Crownlord, hit your whole tea...
